Special Meeting on June 2, 2011
Call to Order
Supervisor Laurie Crane called a special meeting of the Huron Town Board to order on June 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.
Flag Salute
Supervisor Crane led the flag salute.
Roll Call
The following members were present: Councilmember David Buisch, Lois Buckalew, Russell Teeple and Supervisor Laurie Crane. Councilmember Alan Traister was absent
Welcome
Supervisor Crane welcomed everyone.
E-Mail Options
The Town Board discussed Google and Digital Towpath as the two possible choices for email. Google offers several working tools not available through Digital Towpath.
RESOLUTION #53 -2011
Google Email
On motion of Councilmember Buisch, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED - AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, to accept Google email proposal.
BAS Proposal
Supervisor Crane spoke on the proposal from BAS:
1. Replace the current Back-Up System: The limited 40 GB capacity is inadequate to meet the 230 GB need of the Town.
2. Replace the Anti-Virus software with one uniform program: Current software is outdated on most computers and not everyone is using the same service provider.
3. Provide a Redundant File Back-Up Solution at a separate location: The Highway Barn is recommended.
RESOLUTION #54-2011
BAS Proposal
On motion of Councilmember Buisch, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED - AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, to accept the BAS Proposal for the Back-Up Solution, Anti-Virus software, Email Solution, and Redundant File Back-Up Solution to come out of account number 1620200A and to not exceed $3,000.00.
Other Business
Water District #6: Syracuse Contractors was the lowest bidder and we are now waiting on Rural Development, we will also need a Coastal Erosion Permit.
Letter of Support for Village of Wolcott: Supervisor Crane has written a letter of Support to the Village of Wolcott in regards to the Community Development Block Grant Application.
List of Tax Foreclosure: The Town of Huron has eight properties.
Public Safety Building: Open House for new Public Safety Building is Wednesday June 8, 2011 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Pre-Construction Meeting for Water District #7: Pre-Construction Meeting has been set for June 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wolcott Town Hall.

Councilmember Teeple moved, seconded by Councilmember Buisch to adjourn at 4:01 p.m. All in favor of this motion.
