Special Meeting on June 6, 2011
Call to Order
Supervisor Laurie Crane called a special meeting of the Huron Town Board to order on June 6, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.
Flag Salute
Supervisor Crane led the flag salute.
Roll Call
The following members were present: Councilmember David Buisch, Lois Buckalew, Russell Teeple, Councilmember Alan Traister and Supervisor Laurie Crane.
Welcome
Supervisor Crane welcomed everyone.
RESOLUTION #55 -2011
Accept Water #6 Bid
On motion of Councilmember Traister, seconded by Councilmember Buisch the following resolution was ADOPTED - AYES 5 NAYS 0.
At a meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Huron, Wayne County, New York, held
at the Huron Town Hall in said Town, on the 6 day of June, 2011 at 5:00 P.M., Prevailing
Time.
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Crane, and upon roll being called, the
following were
PRESENT: Laurie Crane, Supervisor
Russell Teeple, Councilman
Lois Buckalew, Councilwoman
David Buisch, Councilman
Alan Traister, Councilman
ABSENT: None
The following Resolution was offered by Councilman Traister , who moved its
adoption, seconded by Councilman Buisch, to wit:
WHEREAS, USDA-Rural Development-Rural Utility Service (RUS) has authorized the
Town Board of the Town of Huron to award the construction contract for Town of Huron Water
District No. 6 (the "Project") to Syracuse Constructors, Inc. (Syracuse) in accordance with the
design plans submitted by the Project Engineer (MRB Group, P.C.); and
WHEREAS, said Project Engineer has summarized the bids received and reviewed the
Bid Proposal submitted by Syracuse to complete the construction of the Project at a total cost of
$2,440,000.00; and
WHEREAS, said Project Engineer has prepared and submitted a Notice of Award to be
executed by the Town and Syracuse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of the Town of Huron,
Wayne County, New York as follows:
Section 1 . The Town Board hereby awards the Contract for construction of the Project to
Syracuse for the Total Base Bid plus Conditional Bid Items at a cost of $2,440,000.00.
Section 2. The Supervisor of the Town of Huron is hereby authorized to execute the
Notice of Award and the formal Construction Agreement for the construction of the aforesaid
water distribution system and related appurtenances.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
The question of adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly put to a vote on roll call,
which resulted as follows:

Lois Buckalew, Councilwoman VOTING AYE
David Buisch, Councilman VOTING AYE
Alan Traister, Councilman VOTING AYE
The Resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted.
Executive Session
Councilmember Traister moved, seconded by Councilmember Buisch to go into executive session for personnel at 5:15 p.m.
Out of Executive Session
Councilmember Teeple moved, seconded by Councilmember Traister to come out of executive session at 5:28 p.m. Motion carried.
Adjournment
Councilmember Teeple moved, seconded by Councilmember Traister to adjourn at 5:28 p.m. All in favor of this motion.
