Special Meeting on June 12, 2012
Call to Order
Supervisor Laurie Crane called a special meeting of the Huron Town Board to order on June 12, 2012 at 5pm.
Flag Salute
Supervisor Crane led the flag salute.
Roll Call
The following members were present: Councilmember David Buisch, Lois Buckalew, Russell Teeple, and Supervisor Laurie Crane.
Engineering Proposal and Quotes for Crescent Beach Septic Testing Procedure & Guidance for Update of Town of Huron Septic Law
Building Inspector Roger Gallant presented the Town Board with proposed budgets from MRB and BME for Crescent Beach Septic Testing Procedure and guidance in update of the septic law. The Board discussed the ownership of documents, and research done by MRB. According to documents, MRB maintains ownership. At this time Councilmember Buisch asked Roger his opinion of proposals. The Building Inspector replied that he felt BME would be a good choice.
RESOLUTION #67
On motion of Councilmember Teeple, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED VOTE AYES 3 NAYS 1. Supervisor Crane voted nay.
Resolved-The final decision was tabled until the two companies give more detailed information on hourly rates and document ownership.
RESOLUTION #68
Engineering Proposal
On motion by Supervisor Crane, seconded by Councilmember Buisch the following resolution was DEFEATED. VOTE AYES 1 NAYS 3. Councilmember Buisch, Buckalew, and Teeple voted nay.
RESOLVED- to not accept the MRB Proposal for Crescent Beach Septic Testing Procedure and update of Huron Septic Law.
Huron Address
Supervisor Crane received a letter regarding a Huron address. Councilmember Buisch will answer this letter explaining to them that we would like to use Huron as our town address, keeping the existing zip codes.
RESOLUTION # 69-2012
Weed Harvesting Bids
On motion from Councilmember Teeple, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED VOTE AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, The Town of Huron will accept the bid for Weed Harvesting in Sodus Bay from the Sodus Bay Improvement Association, at a rate of $62.00 an hour not to exceed $68,250.00 for the season, pending the lawyer's approval of contract.
RESOLUTION #70-2012
Hourly Wage for Planning and ZBA Temporary Clerk
On motion by Councilmember Buisch, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED VOTE AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, Temporary clerks for Planning and ZBA will receive their regular hourly wage.
RESOLUTION #71-2012
Supplies for Historical Buildings
On motion by Councilmember Buisch, seconded by Councilmember Buckalew the following resolution was ADOPTED VOTE AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, Historian John Powell can buy supplies including mouse bait, a used vacuum, and cleaning supplies not to exceed $100.00, for general cleaning at old school and grange.

On motion by Councilmember Buckalew, seconded by Councilmember Buisch the following resolution was ADOPTED VOTE AYES 4 NAYS 0.
RESOLVED, to give permission to pay following voucher:

On motion by Councilmember Teeple, seconded by Councilmember Buisch, to adjourn at 6:17 pm. Motion carried.
