Building Inspector's Office Space

Councilmember Traister questioned when the locks to the building were last changed; matter deferred until completion of entrance renovation (handicapped doors).  This lead to discussion of the building addition plans and the inadequate work space of the Building Department.  The options discussed will be pursued by Councilmember Teeple with the Building Inspector.

Supervisor Crane also expressed the opinion that the Building Inspector should have a Secretary/clerk available during the day in order to eliminate his office hours; this would make his job easier.

School Tax Bills

Supervisor Crane discussed problems recently experienced concerning payment of School Taxes.  Two individuals, both making timely payment are charged late payment fees.  Their payments were opened after the remittance date, and lacking a post mark were returned. It seems that the notice returning their taxes was thought to be the return receipt and remained unopened. Despite the fact that the Town can do nothing about the additional charges, both the School and the County are referring people back to the Town for resolution.  The Supervisor had notified the County and will contact the school to cease referrals to the Town.

Water District Fees

Supervisor Crane received a phone call from a resident with an unbuildable lot, requesting reimbursement of water district charge. Supervisor Crane will discuss the matter with Assessor Roach.

Adjournment

Councilmember Buisch moved, seconded by Councilmember Teeple to adjourn at 5:20 p.m.  All in favor of this motion.
